On thing that I love about the eating plan that I am currently on is that my mornings begin with a smoothie. My favorite is strawberry, but I also enjoy blue berry and mixed berry. The nice thing is that you do not have to follow an exact recipe and measure so precisely. Here is the formula:
1 egg (organic and free range)
1 dash of vanilla (no sugar - you have to check)
a bit of Stevia or xylitol (natural sweetener that isn't sugar)
a handful of frozen strawberries - no sugar added
a glass (8-16 oz.) of coconut milk
After you mix the egg, vanilla and sweetener in the blender, add the other ingredients and blend. Using frozen berries makes the drink like a shake that is very good. On days that I feel that I need a little more protein in the mix, I will add a scoop of whey protein (vanilla or strawberry flavored). This makes a meal that if I am running low on time, I can take in the car with me on the commute to work in the mornings (or like today, while I post on this blog)
