Back from Vacation, Ready to Start

My wife and I just got back from a week in Peurto Vallarta, Mexico. We are now ready to begin the Maximized Living journey anew by beginning a detox. You see, I can only image the tons of toxins that have passed my lips in my lifetime.

I would experience a drop in attention after about four to five hours after waking up. Breakfast used to consist of some eggs, sausage, and perhaps a biscuit or four (yes, four). It is no wonder that the weight was packing on and the energy was not there, despite the several Diet Cokes that I would drink throughout the day. The sad thing about soda is that it never satisfies one's thirst, never fills you up, and leads to spikes in energy.

Since I began about a month ago, with the exception of the time that we were in Mexico, breakfast has been a smoothie consisting of berries (strawberries or blueberries), some coconut milk, a dash of vanilla, some stevia, a scoop of whey protein, and a sprinkle of Stevia. You see, there was no sugar involved, it is organic, and doesn't leave me with a dull feeling after a few hours.

Meals have been mostly organic, the meat has been grass-fed beef or fish.

And lots of vegetables (sorry for the heart-attack, dad).

Life is getting better, come along for the ride!
